Jerry Murphy, President
Jerry Murphy has helped numerous organizations, leaders and teams improve their performance in projects ranging from the creation of successful learning programs, to talent planning, development and management.

He began his career as a film/video producer in London and New York. This profession cultivated his practice of beginning with the end in mind. It helped develop his skills of thinking and communicating both verbally and visually. And it built his expertise in leading diverse professional teams through challenging projects.

In senior management positions, Jerry has directed a multi-million-dollar educational publishing alliance, and supervised an award-winning international product development consortium in the energy industry. He has since brought this experience to his consulting work in many international industries and markets, including food and beverage, manufacturing, technology, telecom, financial services, healthcare, energy & environmental, publishing, education and not-for-profit.

Jerry recently served as Head of Corporate Learning & Development for Barry Callebaut AG, based in Zurich, Switzerland, and continues as an advisor to BC's Global HR and organizational development teams. He currently serves on New York University's adjunct faculty of Leadership and Human Capital Management. He holds a Masters in Media Communications from NYU, and professional development certificates from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and the Harvard Project on Negotiation. He has received many industry awards, and writes and speaks on topics in marketing, communication, learning and organizational development.

Jane Murphy, Director of Marketing and Publishing/Lead Executive Coach
Jane Murphy supervises our marketing activities, and is developing Giraffe's multi-platform publishing venture to spark new ideas on business performance, innovation and communication. Jane also leads Giraffe's coaching engagements, working with clients to solve business and leadership challenges.

Jane has been principal and co-founder of several successful publishing and marketing ventures, including KIDVIDZ, which has won numerous awards for its special-interest videos. She has won grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Rockefeller Foundation and served as an advisor to Tufts University, and Grolier Publishing.

In addition to a Masters in Education, Jane has professional certification in executive and organizational coaching from New York University. She also has a professional certificate from New York's Institute of Culinary Education and a diploma from the London School of Film Technique. She is a member of the International Coaching Federation and the Women's National Book Association. She has co-authored several books, including "STAY TUNED!" (Doubleday) and "The Great Big Burger Book" (Harvard Common Press). She speaks regularly on marketing, writing, and custom and special-market publishing.
